Overview

Megan Spencer, PhD is a clinical neuropsychologist and chief of the Providence VA Neuropsychology clinic. Her clinical interests include the assessment of dementia and cognitive deficits in psychiatric populations, particularly veterans with histories of PTSD, substance dependence, and mood disorders. She is also actively involved in a multidisciplinary polytrauma/TBI clinic assessing brain injury among returning OIF/OEF veterans. She is a member of the RI Psychological Association's Ethics Committee and Communication Committee, and serves as co-chair of the Providence VA's dementia committee. Dr. Spencer serves as the neuropsychology track coordinator for the clinical psychology internship program at Brown University.
