Marques Zárate is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Brown University. Marques is primarily interested in how identity structures the way that people make sense of politics. Much of his current research focuses on how social group perceptions shape political attitudes and political behavior. His research is published or forthcoming in outlets such as the American Political Science Review, Political Communication, Poity, and the Journal of Racial and Ethnic Politics. Before joining Brown, Marques received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University.
