Assistant Teaching Professor of Computer Science

Overview

Milda Zizyte is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Brown University, teaching introductory (CSCI 0111) and low-level systems (CSCI 1600, 1952y) courses. Her PhD and postdoc work centered around software engineering for robots and safety-critical systems. In graduate school, she worked on improving automated testing of robotics software. She is now more broadly interested in the future of low-level systems design, be this effective pedagogy, verification through formal methods, or engaging with current challenges such as hardware reuse and energy efficiency.

Milda is happy to collaborate with anyone interested in embedded systems and computer architecture, especially if these interests intersect with formal methods.

As an instructor, Milda aims to facilitate interactive, inclusive, and hands-on classrooms that leave students with deep conceptual understanding of the building blocks of computer systems.
