Milda Zizyte is a lecturer in Computer Science at Brown University. Her research aims to make robotics software safety more approachable. In graduate school, she worked on improving automated testing of robotics software. She is now more broadly interested in how automated tools can help the robotics software engineering process, from deriving mathematical models of robot behavior to enabling easier ways to write specification of robot functionality.
Milda primarily views herself as a teacher, and believes that one of the most powerful ways to make software safer is to teach students about safety-critical software practices and how they matter. Milda aims to facilitate interactive, inclusive, and hands-on classrooms that leave students with the motivation and tools to treat software as a serious engineering practice.
