Nadine T. Himelfarb, MD, FACEP is a cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University and a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her emergency medicine residency training at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital in 2012.
Dr. Himelfarb’s professional interests are in gender equity and women in emergency medicine, healthcare equity, and legislative advocacy.
Dr. Himelfarb is the Director of the Brown Emergency Medicine women faculty development group, which serves to address gender inequities and advance women in emergency medicine through mentorship and sponsorship. She is an active member of the Rhode Island chapter of ACEP, currently serving on the Board of Directors as the immediate past president, of National ACEP, currently serving as a Rhode Island Councillor, and of the Rhode Island Medical Society, currently serving as vice president.
