Otto Liebmann is an Associate Professor of Emergency Physician at the Warren Alpert Medical School. He has been at Brown since 2007 after completing his residency and fellowship in California. His current teaching focus is on safety and self-defense for healthcare providers. He has been teaching self-defense since 1995, but in light of the recent rise in healthcare-associated workplace violence, he has developed a healthcare-focused self-defense curriculum designed to help keep clinicians, staff and patients safe. He is passionate about teaching and medical education.
