Tommy Chou, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. His work focuses on advancing health equity for those impacted by poverty. Dr. Chou aims to accomplish this goal by (1) building and maintaining ethical, reciprocal partnerships with community members and agencies; (2) disseminating and adapting evidence-based mental health practices for children and families facing challenges related to social determinants of health; and (3) providing consultation to organizations and in settings serving those with low income to promote sustainability through workforce development and reduction of burnout and subsequent turnover.
