Reena A. Bhatt is a hand and microsurgeon with University Plastic Surgery, Brown Health Plastic Surgery, in Providence. She received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, concentration Electrical Engineering, at Johns Hopkins University. She worked for a short period for Accenture Consulting. Subsequently she received her M.D. from Drexel University College of Medicine. She then completed a Plastic Surgery residency at Rhode Island Hospital/ The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She underwent her Hand and Microsurgery Training at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Childrens Hospital, and Shriners Hospital of Harvard University in Boston. She is currently an Associate Professor at Brown Medical School. Dr. Bhatt has appointments at the Rhode Island, Miriam, Hasbro, and Women and Infants Hospitals in Providence. She is the Divisional Chief of Hand and Microsurgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery. She is an active member of the residency program in Plastic Surgery as well as General Surgery. She is the former medical student clerkship director. She works actively with a multitude of medical students in research, mentorship, and teaching on rotation as well as in longitudinals. She has a variety of publications in the field of Hand and Plastic Surgery and has ongoing research.
