Roslyn C. Murray, PhD, MPP, is an Assistant Professor of Health Services, Policy and Practice (Research Scholar) at Brown University's School of Public Health and is affiliated with the Center for Advancing Health Policy through Research. She is a health services researcher and economist with expertise in health care prices and spending in private insurance markets. Her research evaluates policies and programs designed to improve health care affordability in the United States. Dr. Murray's research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including Health Affairs, JAMA Health Forum, and The Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law.
Dr. Murray earned a PhD in Health Services Organization and Policy with a concentration in economics from the University of Michigan's School of Public Health. She holds a graduate degree in public policy from Georgetown University. Before starting her graduate training, she worked at Catalyst for Payment Reform, a non-profit dedicated to assisting large employers and other health care purchasers in implementing strategies to improve health care value.
