Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

Dr. Collum is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Trauma Recovery Service at the Providence VA Medical Center (PVAMC).  Her primary interests are in anger and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  As such, she also runs the Partner Communication and Respect Program (PCRP) for veteran’s struggling with relationship anger and communication difficulties towards an intimate partner, and frequently works with residents in co-facilitating this group as a part of their internship/residency experience.  She received her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, TX in 2014.  After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Providence VA Medical Center as the Interprofessional Care postdoc, she accepted a clinically focused position in Trauma Recovery Services (TRS).  Since then she has worked in clinical care in TRS, has aided in Dr. Tracie Shea’s research studies focused on the Treatment of Trauma-Related anger in Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans and an RCT comparing Interpersonal Therapy and Prolonged Exposure for treatment of PTSD in Veterans, and began working in private practice.  Her current work involves providing direct patient care, and supervision to trainees.
