Siwar Masannat is a Jordanian writer, translator, and editor. The author of cue (Georgia Review Books 2024) and 50 Water Dreams (Cleveland State University Poetry Center 2015), Masannat’s poetry and critical writing have appeared in print and online.
Masannat holds a PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she was a Distinguished Dissertation R1 Fellow and a Distinguished Graduate Student Fellow. She also studied at George Mason University and the University of Jordan.
Masannat works as Managing Editor of the Caribbean Poetry Book Series, Calabash and Assistant Director of the African Poetry Book Fund. She teaches in Literary Arts at Brown University.
