Assistant Professor of Medicine, Clinician Educator

Overview

Dr. Sakeena Raza, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Raza received her M.B.B.S degree from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Arkansas. She further did a two-year Geriatrics Fellowship at UAMS.

Dr. Raza joined Brown Medicine in 2016 and has clinical and teaching responsibilities. She is currently the Medical Director of the Respiratory and Rehab Center of Rhode Island. She is the geriatrician for the weekly Brown Geriatric-Oncology multidisciplinary clinic and assesses the frailty status of older cancer patients to help determine the safest treatment option for these patients.
