Dr DeNucci has spent his entire academic career at Brown. He began as a student at Brown Alpert, back when Brown referred to the medical school as "The Program in Medicine." After Internal Medicine resedency and then GI fellowship at Brown, he was a Gastroenterolgist in private practice for nearly 25 years, and maintained his faculty appointment at Brown. He then returned to the academic practice of Gastroenterology, where he remains today. He continues to be involved teaching students, residents and fellows. He is now the Medical Director of the Endsocopy Center at Rhode Island Hospital. He is honored to have risen from trainee to Endoscooy Director, in the very program where his GI career began. His GI interests include Colorectal Cancer Screening, and Quality Assurance in Endoscopy. He has also been very active in the design, buildout, and management of Ambulatory Endsocopy Centers. His interests out of Medicine include Salt Water Fishing, Shell Fishing, carpentry, and collecting vintage medicine bottles.
