Dr Toure joined the Brown Faculty in 2017. After graduating from Brown Medical School, she did her residency training at Boston Medical Center and then completed a fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She is currently the Rhode Island Hospital Clinic Site Director for the endocrine fellowship. Her current interests include diabetes technology, and wellness. As such, she is the division director for the insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor program. She is the DEI officer and also the wellness officer for the Brown Medicine Endocrine Division. Dr Toure attends on the Endocrine consultation service at Rhode Island Hospital and teaches in the endocrine pathophysiology course at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Outside of the Division of Endocrinology, she is a Bias Reduction in Medicine Implementer, focused on decreasing racial, gender, and sexual orientation bias among medicine professionals, and within the provider/patient relationship.
