Overview

Von Marie Rodríguez-Guzmán, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist providing behavioral health services at the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Program. Dr. Rodríguez-Guzmán provides psychological treatment and mental health consultation through integrated behavioral health services in the primary care setting.

Dr. Rodríguez-Guzmán received her doctoral degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico. She was a postdoctoral research fellow in child/adolescent mental health at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed clinical training in psychological services at the Hasbro Refugee Clinic, Dialectical Behavior Therapy at Bradley Hospital, and Social Cognitive Behavioral Treatment for Latinx adolescents. 

Dr. Rodríguez-Guzmán also engages in research, clinical work, supervision, and training around working with Latinx youth, adults, and families. Dr. Rodríguez-Guzmán's research interests include characterizing community resilience behaviors and ways cultural values distinctive of the Latinx population (such as ethnic pride, family cohesion, and acculturation) influence post-trauma adjustment.
