Dr. Cao is a Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. He is a Surgical Pathologist on the staff of Lifespan Academic Medical Center, and is also fellowship-trained in GI pathology. He obtained his MD from Zhejiang Medical University in Hangzhou, and his MSc from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing. His research is related to gastroesophageal reflux disease, the development of Barrett’s esophagus, and risk of esophageal cancer.
