Dr. Berlow received his MD and PhD from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed his psychiatry residency in the Research Training Program at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He has received several awards and recognitions for his work, including the Chair’s Choice Award from the Society of Biological Psychiatry and the Laughlin Fellowship from the American College of Psychiatrists. Since coming to Brown University, Dr. Berlow’s research has focused on identifying predictors of response to noninvasive neuromodulation treatments, including transcranial magnetic stimulation and transcranial direct current stimulation in collaboration with the Providence VA RR&D Center for Neurorestoration and Neurotechnology.
