Yingjie GuanAssistant Professor of Orthopaedics (Research)
Dr Yingjie Guan is an Assistant Professor and a junior PI in the Department of Orthopaedics in the Warren Alpert Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital at Brown University. She completed her medical training at medical school in southeast University and received her PhD from medical school in Fudan University in China. She then came to Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University for post-doctoral training. In 2007, she joined Department of Orthopaedics in Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University. In 2009, Dr. Guan became a faculty member in the Department. Dr. Guan’s research has been focused on the mechanical regulation of cartilage development and diseases. She is particularly interested in elucidating the molecular mechanism of mechanotransduction signaling in chondrocytes.
