My current work focuses on childhood health exposures and outcomes. I worked at the RI Department of Health for 10 years as both the epidemiologist for the Rhode Island Diabetes Prevention and Control Program and for the Assessment Initiative. I am a core member of the research and evaluation unit of the Hassenfeld Child Health Innovation Institute.

I co-teach a two-semester course sequence on Introduction to Biostatistics and Data Analysis that gives students a structured approach to secondary data analysis. In 2010 I received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching in Public Health.
