Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (Research)

Overview

I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Temple University and completed my clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship (T32) in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University. I am now a Research Scientist at Bradley Hospital and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (DPHB) at Brown.

I am interested in how pubertal development contributes to the emergence of sex differences in affective disorders during adolescence, and, in particular, how the menstrual cycle confers increased risk for depression across the female reproductive lifespan. My current research is focused on the effect of ovarian steroid hormones on mood symptoms and sleep problems across the menstrual cycle in adolescents.
