Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

Emily Gathright, PhD, is a Research Scientist at the Center for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine at The Miriam Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown Medical School. She completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Kent State University with a focus in health psychology. 

Dr. Gathright's research seeks to understand psychosocial (e.g., depression) and behavioral (e.g., adherence) contributors to cardiac risk in aging adults with a goal of developing secondary prevention interventions.
