Associate Professor of Engineering

Overview

Jacob Rosenstein's laboratory at Brown is focused on mixed-signal electronic design and development of high-resolution, low-power, and high-speed interfaces to biological systems.

He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, where his research focused on low-noise electronics for ion channel recordings and nanopore sensors. Prior to studying at Columbia, he spent several years as a hardware systems engineer with the semiconductor companies Analog Devices and MediaTek Wireless, contributing to the SoftFone line of baseband chipsets for wireless handsets.
