Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine

Overview

Dr. Odinaka Anyanwu is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and the Assistant Director of the Brown Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern and went on to complete both the Global Health and Maternal Child Health Fellowships at Brown. She is currently a T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow focused on equity-driven global health research and academic-community partnerships.

Dr. Anyanwu leads a mixed-methods study evaluating a global health education curriculum and was recently awarded Advance-CTR funding for Enhancing Birth Equity, a qualitative study exploring obstetrical care experiences and community-based efforts in Rhode Island. Her broader research interests include point-of-care ultrasound, maternal health, and global health education.
