Adjunct Lecturer in Public Humanities

Overview

I am a public humanities practitioner and researcher with a background of working in and with museums and other humanities-based organizations. As the Assistant Director and Curator at the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage, I oversee preservation and interpretation of the National Historic Landmark Nightingale-Brown House (1792) and its historic collections, coordinate gallery spaces and exhibitions, and advise students in the public humanities program on practicums and job searches. I teach courses on historic house museums, museum collections and collecting, and material culture. My current research focuses on the intersection of culture and environment impact including ecology, climate change, immigration, and indigenous rights.
