Adjunct Lecturer in Public Humanities

Overview

I am a curator, preservationist, and lecturer with a background of working in and with museums and other humanities-based organizations. At the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Advanced Study, I oversee preservation and interpretation of the National Historic Landmark Nightingale-Brown House (1792) and its historic collections. I teach courses about museum collections and collecting, environmental humanities, and historic house museums, focusing on the intersections of place and (material) culture. These narratives include colonization, indigenous experiences, ecology, industrialization, and immigration.
