Sarita Warrier, MD, is the Associate Dean for Medical Education at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she completed her undergraduate and medical school education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (Go Blue!), and trained at the Brown Internal Medicine Residency program. As an academic general internist on the teaching faculty at Rhode Island Hospital since 2008, she trains residents and students in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In her role as Associate Dean, she is responsible for oversight of the four year medical school curriculum, including the dual degree MD-ScM program, known as the Primary Care-Population Medicine program. Her research interests include undergraduate and graduate medical education.

Before becoming an Assistant Dean for Medical Education, Sarita Warrier was the course leader for the Year 1 Doctoring Courses (BIOL 3640 and 3650) from 2012-2017. She was recently a small group leader in the Health Systems Sciences course, and actively teaches on the inpatient general medical service at Rhode Island Hospital and at the Center for Primary Care and Medical Specialties (the internal medicine residency clinic) on Chapman Street.
