Professor of Diagnostic Imaging

Overview

Dr. Lourenco received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1998 and her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2002. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at RI Hospital/The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2007 and then completed a fellowship in Women's Imaging at the Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston in 2008. Dr. Lourenco's primary focus is breast imaging and intervention, as well as medical education. She is Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Director. She has previously served as the Breast Imaging Fellowship Director.  Dr. Lourenco is a fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging and a fellow of the American College of Radiology.  She Lourenco is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
