Overview

Dr. Eaton, better known as "Chuck", is a board-certified family physician and clinical epidemiologist. He has been at Brown for the past 33 years and is Director of the Center for Primary Care and  Prevention including its Clinical Studies Center.  He is PI or co-I  on multiple NIH grants related to physical activity, environmental exposures, racial and ethnic disparities, heart failure, cardometabolic disease, osteoarthritis, and their biomarkers and has over 450 publications related to this research.  He is Director of the RI Advanced CTR Community Engaged Core  Practice-Based Research Network.  He actively participates in the teaching and mentoring of medical  students, residents, PhD candidates in Epidemiology, post doctoral fellows in Cardiology, Psychology, Psychiatry and Family Medicine.
