My research areas of interest include policies that help ensure that all students in the US have effective teachers in their classrooms and effective principals in their school, and policies that help us grow a diverse workforce that reflects the diversity of our students in large urban public school K-12 districts. I'm interested in understanding the impact of policies including those related to preparation, recruitment, hiring, professional growth and development, evaluation, and retention.
