Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

Dr. Mancebo received a B.A. from Providence College, a M.A from Connecticut College, and a Ph.D. from Hofstra University. Following a clinical internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the OCD Research Program at Brown University under the mentorship of Drs. Steven Rasmussen and Jane Eisen.

Dr. Mancebo's primary research interest focuses on implementing evidence-based interventons for OCD and hoarding and their implementation in community settings. Her work has been funded by NIMH and led to her development of the OCD and Anxiety Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Butler Hospital.  

Currently, Dr. Mancebo owns a private practice focused on speciality treatment of OCD, hoarding, and phobias. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the DPHB and provides training to  psychology and psychiatry residents.
