Overview

Dr. Lynn McNicoll is Associate Professor of Medicine and is Director of Education for the Division of Geriatrics. After completing a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology at Yale University in 2002, Dr. McNicoll joined the faculty of Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is also the Director of Quality Management and Outcomes for the Department of Medicine and Director of the Scholarly Concentration Program overall as well as the Scholarly Concentration in Aging. She specializes in quality improvement initiatives in the hospital setting and improving care for hospitalized older persons. She was a consultant for Healthcentric Advisors, the Quality Improvement Organization of Rhode Island, from 2004 to 2018 specifically in hospital- and nursing home-related matters. She is an expert consultant for the American Geriatric Society CoCare: Ortho Initiative aiming to disseminate the Geriatrics-Surgery Co-Management Care Model. She is the North American representative for AO Trauma Orthogeriatrics and co-chair of the Fragility Fracture Network SIG on Peri-Operative Care.
